While the sandwich didn't blow me away, I can see how this place could be great with a few adjustments (better ventilation while cooking). I'd be willing to give it another try!

Food: One of the best hot sandwiches I've ever had. I ordered the CEO sandwich, which I highly recommend. I saved Half to share with my husband. I also ordered the potato salad, whch typically is OK but this is like a true homemade potato salad with flavor. Lastly, I ordered chicken soup, I put in the fridge for the next day and that was full of flavor and chunky with veggies and chicken, absolutely delish. Service: The cashier was professional but the rest of the staff was friendly and professional. Ambiance: Cute little restaurant with limited seating. NOTE: Don't let the surrounding area scare you off, I thought I was lost in this industrial-type street. The food is well-worth stopping in, highly recommend calling in the order or online ordering if they have it available. I live in San Diego and was here for a conference and I was looking up a sandwich shop, where I could stop and pick up food on my way home. I wish we had a Lunch Spot restaurant near me!

The little hideaway you will want to come back to everyday. Everything was incredible. Buffalo Chicken Soup might be the best soup I have ever had. They need to put it in a can so I can enjoy in Illinois!!

Went here again for lunch...great food and wonderful service. Got the Ruben again and enjoyed it. Don't be fooled by the location.

Great sandwiches, overstuffed and delicious. I'd go back if I were in the neighborhood and hankering for something unfancy and delicious!

We visited the Lunch Spot during our recent trip to Palm Desert. We ordered the CEO and the turkey bacon ranch. Both sandwiches were good. My husband got the CEO and wouldn't change a thing. I got the turkey. It was good but I thought the bread was too thick and a bit dry. The sandwiches weren't skimpy and had plenty of meat, cheese and vegetables. The sandwiches were pricier than we would have expected for a sandwich. The cookies were delicious. The ingredients weee fresh and everything well prepared. I'd go again and look to order something different.

Cutest spot in pd. Best sandwiches. A must try in Coachella valley. I try to stop here and eat every time I'm in Palm desert

Found this place on yelp to buy some sandwiches before exploring Joshua Tree National Park to bring and eat as a picnic. We ordered ahead of time and the sandwiches were ready for us to pick up fairly quickly. We ordered: 1. Daniels Best: Sorry I accidentally labeled my photo a Evans special but I actually think it was Daniels best. The sandwich was so good! Lost of meat and super fresh bread. It kind of reminds of of sandwiches my mom would make when I was a kid. 2. Chicken Salad: Super flavorful and delicious! I love the Rye Bread and how much chicken the chicken salad had. It wasn't mushy tasting like how some sandwiches are made. 3. Turkey bacon sandwich: This sandwich was my favorite. So much meat and the combo goes so well together. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall, the sandwiches are super filling. 3 sandwiches were more than enough to feed 4 people. Super filling and delicious. Great service and order was ready on time when ordered online.

YELP SHORT ANSWER: Yes, amazing, weird location, parking is near impossible at times but great for to-go sandwiches or if you are lucky enough to grab a parking spot dine in and enjoy. LOCATION: in an industrial location with lots of work trucks and employee on-street parking so plan on walking a ways if you're going to try and dine indoors in the 8 tables? or one or two outdoor tables. FACILITY: It is perfect ! and what it should be. Very hard working owner and staff, no BS here. They know their lane and stay in it. MENU: Fantastic choices, please make your choices ahead of standing in line, looking up at the menu like an idiot asking questions and pissing everyone off behind you. FOOD PREP: Excellent, actually unreal prep for a sandwich. Make no mistake, these are NOT fancy foofoo sandwiches, they are just made with care to be the best a common sandwich can be. FOOD QUALITY: These are the BEST sandwiches I have had in CV period ! WAITSTAFF: Super busy but nice and they live in the vibe. Be respectful this place rocks when it is busy. OVERALL VALUE: Fairly expensive, well rethink that in 2024 where a BigMac is like $10.00. I do not mind paying for a quality sandwich. TIP: Bring a buddy to drive and you run in to pick up your order. It is a pain sometime to decide when I want to order T/O but unless you risk a double park it can be a turnoff. It is so incredibly expensive to run this type of business, rent and employee cost are so expensive not to mention the cost of supplies changing daily. Guessing they need to work 15 work days to breakeven so keep these local businesses open. I applaud the location and the misses just make it just that much cooler.

Was out in Palm Desert for a dance competition for my daughter. Found this place on Yale. Decided to go for breakfast. Everything was fantastic. We had the breakfast panini, breakfast wrap, avocado toast. All outstanding. All their ingredients are fresh. We liked it so much, we came back for lunch a couple days later. During lunch this place is crazy packed. Every seat is taken, and the line goes out the door. For lunch, we tried Ashley's choice and Daniel's best. Both were amazing. This place is truly legit. Hence the great yelp ratings and the crazy long lines. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for breakfast or lunch
